Transcript:
hey everyone this Michael again and
today I’m going to do a review of the
1986 classic well Shop of Horrors and it
stars Rick Moranis Ellen green and
Vinson gardenia and this was a great
film loved this film it’s about Rick
Moranis and he works at this flower shop
and he finds this flytrap like a flytrap
is a flower
we’re like eats like bugs and all that
other stuff well he finds that because
it came down from a space from this
Eclipse
and he finds the flower the flytrap and
he takes care of it and he feeds it the
flytrap of the flower only you know like
likes blood from people and he feeds him
that blood and the flower like grows and
grows and grows and it talks and it
becomes sort of a pain paying the bomb
later on the film and yeah this is a
great film like I said the music is
great also very catchy
very well done um it also has a couple
of cameos in this film from Steve Martin
who you all know who plays that dentist
that crazy dentist his character was so
classic and so hilarious and it also had
John Candy in it who played the that
radio talk-show host guy and um Jim know
yeah Jim Belushi was in it also
Murata cameos Bill Murray was in it also
yeah this is a great film this is the
special edition of this this is the
rerelease that was released and on see
that the disc right there
this was the DVD that was released I
think in 2007 I think or something like
that but I know the original 1998 DVD
and that one is
I have to buy a lot of people because I
had the original end into the film oh
well I forgot to say this film is based
off I think it’s a remake of the 60s
version which had a Jack Nicholson in it
and it’s based off the Broadway show and
going back to the original ending it was
released on the 1998 DVD and that DVD
got recalled because of David Geffen
like he wasn’t happy about it and so he
made the studio you know one of those
take you know DUP that version of the
DVD bought the markets cuz apparently he
didn’t want it or something like that
but the original ending was supposed to
be like the Broadway show the end to the
bloodshed where I had on Audrey who’s
played by Ellen green and Seymour Rick
Moranis this in the original ending of
the film right here they both died and
the volta eaten by the plant well the
plant eats eats them and the plant
starts taking over New York City and all
that well you can find it here on
YouTube it’s in black and white because
it’s a work it’s a work print of that
original ending cuz I know the I heard
the color version what got destroyed in
a studio fire but yeah but I don’t know
if they’re ever going to release that
original ending if they do like a
release of this movie on DVD that’s up
to David Geffen if he wants to you know
use that original ending like in color
but I don’t know if he’s gonna release
that you know that original end and if
they do like a new DVD of this um but
yeah it’s a great film if you haven’t
seen it check it out really good and on
this special edition has a 23 minute
documentary on
they did the film it also had some notes
you know like behind the scenes notes on
how they did the film and all that it
has an oil commentary by the director
Frank Oz yes Frank Oz who voices Burt
Grover and Cookie Monster on Sesame
Street and also he does Miss Piggy he’s
a great director and a great voice actor
he gives a lot of you know stuff in the
commentary on like like how he did the
film and stuff but yeah it also has on
TV spots and two theatrical trailers and
that’s about it
Oh going back to the original ending
they were going to use that that
original ending for this movie but Frank
Oz showed it the director showed it to a
test audience and they didn’t like it
and they found it too disturbing so they
have to go and reshoot the whole London
and he used that off that happy ending
which was good um hey the original
ending was okay I watched it on YouTube
here um I kind of like the you know the
New London that’d be used for this movie
better yeah but if you saw this movie
you know be and then I’m talking about
but yeah so if you haven’t seen this
movie check it out it’s really good like
I said and yeah the great film one of my
favorites um so that’s it for my review
of Little Shop of Horrors thank you all
for watching and until the next video
I’ll see you all later bye
