In the video Rick Allen (Rick Moranis) on CFTR Toronto, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of strange Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a skit which was included on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob is acted by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Although born originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content legislation, the characters became a pop culture success in both Canada and the States. The pair enetually would become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
