Bob McKenzie is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was born originally as a sketch to both fulfill and make fun of dumb Canadian content legislation, the brothers morphed into a pop culture success in both Canada and the United States. The two later became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

Strange Brew and managed to take in a
couple of games of bowling at a local
alley at a press conference earlier that
evening I asked the Mackenzie Brothers
what it was like to see themselves up on
the big screen it’s like getting real
