In the video Rick Mercer Talking To Americans (Part 2) BRITISH REACTION, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian comedians who are responsible for “Great White North”, a segment which was included on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob McKenzie is performed by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is created by Dave Thomas. The sketch was brought to life originally as a skit to both please and mock legal Canadian content statutes, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the USA. The two enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

This is the second part of Canadian comedian Rick Mercer’s series called Talking To Americans where he travels to the USA to ask Americans interesting questions as well as getting them to say some funny things. The more comedy I see from Canada and Canadians the more I am becoming a huge fan of it.

I used to work in a big hotel in downtown Ottawa. Every year, we had a whole bunch of teams (colleges and universities) come to Ottawa for a volleyball tournament. Considering the fact that I was in University too at that time, MOST of the girls in the competition were in my age group.
One lass asked me "Who's the woman on your money?"…. I lost interest at that point.

What amazes me is that people make definitive statements about things that they have never heard of. If someone asks you a question about something of which you have no knowledge, why not just say I’ve never heard of that, so can’t comment?
Proof college is not for smart people.
