Bob’s part is created by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. Despite brought to life originally as filler to both please and laugh at legal Canadian content statutes, the two transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie siblings enetually would become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
