Bob and Doug McKenzie in Rick Moranis A.K.A. Barney Rubble

In the video Rick Moranis A.K.A. Barney Rubble, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of imaginaryfunny Canadian family members who hosted “Great White North”, a sketch which was televised on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it moved to CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob is acted by Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was brought to life originally as a skit to both satisfy and make fun of silly Canadian content policies, the two grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The brothers enetually would become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
