Bob and Doug McKenzie in Rick Moranis Ad Lib

In the video Rick Moranis Ad Lib, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hysterical Canadian family members who are responsible for “Great White North”, a sketch which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s third season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob is played by Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. The sketch was born originally as a sketch to both follow guidelines and make fun of non sensical Canadian content rules, the pair turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The brothers went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
