Bob and Doug McKenzie in Rick Moranis at Comic Conn

In the video Rick Moranis at Comic Conn, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hysterical Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a program which was included on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is played by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by actor Dave Thomas. The sketch was made originally as fluff to both fulfill and make fun of dumb Canadian content guidelines, the two transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and America. The pair went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
