Bob’s part is played by comic Rick Moranis and the character Doug is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously brought to life originally as a sketch to both satisfy and make fun of non sensical Canadian content statutes, the siblings transformed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The brothers soon became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
