In the video Rick Moranis Beaten on the Lawless Streets of New York City, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of imaginaryfunny Canadian family members who starred in “Great White North”, a skit which was aired on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it got sold to CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob McKenzie is brought to life by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. The sketch was created originally as fluff to both fulfill and laugh about non sensical Canadian content laws, the siblings grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The characters later became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
