Bob and Doug McKenzie in Rick Moranis – Bonus Track

In the video Rick Moranis – Bonus Track, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of made up Canadian brothers who were featured in “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was aired on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it aired by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob is acted by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although made originally as fluff to both fulfill and laugh at dumb Canadian content rules, the siblings turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and America. The McKenzie siblings enetually would become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
