Bob is performed by comic Rick Moranis and Doug is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. Which was brought to life originally as a sketch to both please and makes jokes about annoying Canadian content policies, the two turned into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The brothers later became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
