Bob and Doug McKenzie in Rick Moranis covers the Police De Do Do

In the video Rick Moranis covers the Police De Do Do, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of made up Canadian actors who starred in “Great White North”, a show which was broadcast on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it moved to CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob is played by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by the comedian Dave Thomas. Which was brought to life originally as fluff to both please and make fun of network Canadian content demands, the brothers became a pop culture success in both Canada and across the border. The brothers soon became the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
