The New York City Police Department has confirmed that the unknown man who randomly and brazenly assaulted #Ghostbusters star Rick Moranis has been taken into custody.

News of the suspect’s arrest was announced on the official @NYPDNews Twitter, with the NYPD noting that he was apprehended thanks to the assistance of an NYPD Transit officer.

“Thanks to an eagle-eyed sergeant from @NYPDTransit, this suspect has been apprehended and charged,” said the NYPD.

two weeks ago about rick moranis the

sucker punched by a thug on
the streets of new york and all that
well suspect has been arrested

i’m not sure what that is maybe some of
you guys all know what that is i’m
assuming maybe a beat cop maybe i guess
thanks to an eagle eye sergeant from

transit the suspect has been apprehended
and
charged what is an eagle eye
sergeant is that
someone that watches multiple um
closed caption cameras within the city
or something i’m not sure i think
i believe that uh maybe maybe uh new
york’s got uh
cameras and stuff like that i don’t i
don’t know i didn’t
think that they did but i guess maybe
they do so
but it kind of makes sense i mean it is
new york after all right so
you know everything that would be a
violation of your
uh you know um would uh you know
so on october 2nd rick moranis was
sucker punched in the head from behind
by a man now identified as 35 year old
marquis ventura as the
actor was making his way home
on to his apartment but rick moranis
fell to the ground as a result of the
attack
and as a result suffered pain in his
neck
back and hip i hope it’s not any
permanent damage or anything
it’s pretty up there in age 2 as well so
um
according to the new york post the
suspect has a history of more than a
dozen arrests including
five for felonies with this most recent
arrest coming
just two weeks after the attack on rick
moranis
the mirage attack is now the third open
string
stranger assault case against frontura
added the post he remains charged in
bronx with the misdemeanor assault for
allegedly punching a young woman in the
face after asking her for money
on the train on april 13 according to
law enforcement sources and public
record
records what a piece of
too bad that he doesn’t come across come
up against somebody you’ll actually do
damage right back to him you know i’m
saying
i mean i’m not advocating violence but
come on man
this is ridiculous this up dude
