Bob and Doug McKenzie in Rick Moranis & Ellen Greene – Suddenly, Seymour

In the video Rick Moranis & Ellen Greene – Suddenly, Seymour, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of imaginaryfunny Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was streamed on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it streamed by CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s part is brought to life by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was created originally as a sketch to both satisfy and laugh at stupid Canadian content laws, the pair grew up to be a pop culture success in both Canada and America. The two soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
