Bob and Doug McKenzie in Rick Moranis & Ellen Greene-Suddenly, Seymour

In the video Rick Moranis & Ellen Greene-Suddenly, Seymour, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian brothers who created “Great White North”, a sketch which was included on SCTV for the show’s most watched season when it got sent to CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s part is played by Rick Moranis and the character Doug is played by Dave Thomas. The sketch was made originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and mock legal Canadian content legislation, the brothers morphed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the US. The two later became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
