Bob McKenzie is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by actor Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously developed originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and laugh about silly Canadian content statutes, the two morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The two soon became the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
