Bob and Doug McKenzie in Rick Moranis

In the video Rick Moranis, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of fictional Canadian siblings who created “Great White North”, a sketch which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it was aired on CBC Television in the 1980s. The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by the funny Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although born originally as a skit to both please and mock non sensical Canadian content laws, the two morphed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and America. The brothers enetually would become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
