Bob’s part is acted by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is acted by Dave Thomas. Which was born originally as a joke to both satisfy and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content legislation, the siblings became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The two went on to become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
