In the video Rick Moranis – Honey I Shrunk the Kids #a1up, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian family members who created “Great White North”, a segment which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it was featured on CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s partThe character Bob is played by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by Dave Thomas. The sketch was born originally as a joke to both please and make fun of annoying Canadian content statutes, the characters transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The brothers soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
