In the video Rick Moranis – I Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a program which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most popular season when it moved to CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob McKenzie is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by Dave Thomas. Although made originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about network Canadian content rules, the two morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie siblings enetually would become the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

Maaaaaaan! I just heard this song on the radio! The presenter introduced it as a Rick Moranis song. He said although Rick hasn't done a lot of acting recently he is active as a musician, and that this particular song fits the whole corona situation perfectly. Then I heard this voice and I just couldn't connect it to the dude from Spaceballs or Ghostbusters. I had to look it up, and here he is! This is so awesome! I listened to a couple other songs and I just love how he uses these country tunes to tell his incredibly timely and relevant stories. And it's really great music. Wow! Also I had to listen a few times to make sure Netflix isn't in there (2005), because I could have sworn it was there the first time…
