In the video Rick Moranis – I Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere VR – Sofa King Karaoke, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of made up Canadian family members who can been seen in “Great White North”, a segment which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the 1980s. Bob’s partThe character Bob is acted by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although born originally as an idea to both follow guidelines and laugh about non sensical Canadian content statutes, the characters grew up to be a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
