In the video Rick Moranis interview for Ghostbusters 1984, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of odd Canadian siblings who hosted “Great White North”, a show which was shown on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in in the early 80s. Bob is brought to life by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug is played by Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was developed originally as a skit to both please and laugh about stupid Canadian content demands, the siblings became a pop culture success in both Canada and across the border. The brothers went on to become the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
