Bob and Doug McKenzie in Rick Moranis is Back!!

In the video Rick Moranis is Back!!, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was televised on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it braodcast by CBC Television in the eighties. Bob’s character is created by Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was developed originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and make fun of silly Canadian content statutes, the pair transformed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
