In the video Rick Moranis is Howard The Duck – HDTGM Streets of Fire Live Show, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of made up Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a sketch which was broadcast on SCTV for the show’s most popular season when it moved to CBC Television in the eighties. Bob is played by Rick Moranis and the character Doug is acted by the comedian Dave Thomas. Although born originally as fluff to both fulfill and laugh at network Canadian content policies, the pair morphed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the US. The two later became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
