Bob and Doug McKenzie in Rick Moranis-Morissette

In the video Rick Moranis-Morissette, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian brothers who are responsible for “Great White North”, a sketch which was introduced on SCTV for the show’s 3rd season when it got sold to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob’s part is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is acted by actor Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was made originally as fluff to both fulfill and laugh about dumb Canadian content guidelines, the brothers grew up to be a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the US. The pair became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
