In the video Rick Moranis over the years 1980-2024 evolution #shorts, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hysterical Canadian comedians who hosted “Great White North”, a show which was featured on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most liked season when it got sent to CBC Television in 1980. Bob’s part is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is performed by actor Dave Thomas. The sketch was born originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and laugh about stupid Canadian content guidelines, the siblings became a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the States. The two became the focus of a classic comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
