Bob and Doug McKenzie in Rick Moranis – Press Pound

In the video Rick Moranis – Press Pound, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of made up Canadian siblings who were featured in “Great White North”, a segment which was included on SCTV for the show’s most liked season when it moved to CBC Television in the eighties. The character Bob McKenzie is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. It was developed originally as an idea to both fulfill and makes jokes about network Canadian content legislation, the two turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The two soon became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
