In the video Rick Moranis Punched in Head While Walking in NYC, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of odd Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a sketch which was introduced on second city television for the show’s third season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob’s character is played by actor Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was created originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and make fun of silly Canadian content demands, the brothers turned into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the US. The brothers went on to become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.

Actor Rick Moranis was sucker-punched in the head by a stranger while walking in Manhattan. The caught-on-video attack happened on the Upper West Side and police are offering a reward for information on the attack.
