Bob and Doug McKenzie in rick moranis rap

In the video rick moranis rap, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of fictional Canadian family members who were featured in “Great White North”, a segment which was shown on SCTV for the show’s third season when it was aired on CBC Television in in the early 80s. Bob’s character is performed by comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. The sketch was brought to life originally as fluff to both follow guidelines and make fun of non sensical Canadian content statutes, the two morphed into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the US. The pair went on to become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
