In the video Rick Moranis – September 2, 1978 – 1050 Chum Toronto, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of hilarious Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a segment which was featured on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it was broadcast on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. The character Bob McKenzie is created by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and the character Doug is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. It was made originally as a joke to both please and laugh about dumb Canadian content legislation, the brothers became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the United States. The two became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
