Bob McKenzie is performed by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. The bit was created originally as filler to both fulfill and makes jokes about non sensical Canadian content rules, the two morphed into a pop culture success in both Canada and America. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
