In the video ‘Rick Moranis song’ – the whippet beans! (the visual dial-a-song goes on and on), Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of strange Canadian brothers who starred in “Great White North”, a show which was aired on SCTV for the show’s third season when it got sent to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in . Bob’s character is performed by the funny Rick Moranis and the character Doug is created by comic Dave Thomas. Although brought to life originally as a sketch to both fulfill and mock stupid Canadian content demands, the pair became a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie siblings became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
played this sumptuous groove whilst having the thought outlined in the song… I think it worked better without the video ’cause it conjured up images that no physical pixel can do justice, but I didn’t want to post a blank screen so I threw this together.
The concept works, there aint a film in the world that would not be improved by giving the lead role to Moranis.
