Bob McKenzie is created by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s part is performed by the comedian Dave Thomas. Despite developed originally as a skit to both fulfill and mock legal Canadian content rules, the siblings turned into a pop culture success in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie brothers enetually would become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
