Bob and Doug McKenzie in Rick Moranis

In the video Rick Moranis, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of made up Canadian comedians who starred in “Great White North”, a sketch which was aired on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it streamed by CBC Television in the year 1980. Bob’s partThe character Bob is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug is performed by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was made originally as a skit to both fulfill and make fun of silly Canadian content rules, the two became a pop culture success in both Canada and the US. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
