Bob and Doug McKenzie in Rick Moranis

In the video Rick Moranis, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of fictional Canadian actors who can been seen in “Great White North”, a program which was shown on second city television for the show’s most watched season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 80’s. Bob is created by Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is acted by Dave Thomas. Regardless the fact it was made originally as a joke to both satisfy and make fun of legal Canadian content guidelines, the characters became a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and the USA. The McKenzie brothers soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
