Bob’s partThe character Bob is played by the funny Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. Which was born originally as filler to both please and mock network Canadian content policies, the pair turned into a pop culture sensation in both Canada and the USA. The McKenzie brothers later became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
“Moranis came to prominence around 1980 in the sketch comedy show Second City Television and later appeared in several Hollywood films, including Strange Brew, Ghostbusters, Spaceballs, Little Shop of Horrors, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (and its sequels), Little Giants, Parenthood, The Flintstones, and My Blue Heaven.
Since the death of his wife, Moranis has largely retired from acting to devote time to his family. “
