In the video Rick Moranis – You, Me, The Music, And Me (1989) – 11 – Behind the Scenes, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a duo of hilarious Canadian family members who hosted “Great White North”, a ad lib skit which was broadcast on second city television for the show’s most liked season when it moved to CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob’s part is played by actor Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by actor Dave Thomas. The sketch was made originally as a skit to both please and makes jokes about annoying Canadian content laws, the two morphed into a pop culture phenomenon in both Canada and across the border. The characters soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
We here at Thom_CD-ROM.Com are very proud to be the first to release Rick Moranis’ first solo album from 1989 to the Internet. As you already know, this release was very limited to Canada on IRS Records, and was never pressed to CD. After years of refreshing our eBay and Discogs search queries, a cassette copy from Winnipeg appeared. And we pounced on it.
