In the video Rick moranislittle shop of horrorspart 2my friends, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of hysterical Canadian brothers who were featured in “Great White North”, a sketch which was aired on second city television for the show’s third season when it was featured on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the year 1980. Bob McKenzie is created by actor Rick Moranis and Doug is created by actor Dave Thomas. The bit was created originally as a joke to both follow guidelines and laugh about dumb Canadian content rules, the pair grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and the USA. The characters later became the focus of a hit comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
