Bob and Doug McKenzie in Rings – Cause I Know That You’ll Always Be

In the video Rings – Cause I Know That You’ll Always Be, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a group of made up Canadian family members who hosted “Great White North”, a sketch which was broadcast on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it was broadcast on CBC Television in 1980. Bob McKenzie is acted by comic Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is played by comic Dave Thomas. Which was brought to life originally as a sketch to both fulfill and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content guidelines, the characters morphed into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the States. The characters enetually would become the focus of a an amazing comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
