I noticed on Roy's Fender guitar that the jack plug is in a different spot, unlike where it is located normally.
More cowbell
Great stuff
It's good to see Roy and great to see that he wasn't treated like some nostalgia act. I was surprised
to see Roy do "Working For The Man", a good tune that certainly isn't one of his best known.
I remember watching SCTV. They had musical guests like SNL but on SCTV they actually did skits along with the cast. I loved that show.
Eugene Levy is hilarious here
Doc Ock Rocks!
Ser chamado de Caruso do Rock é uma Honra. Até Elvis Presley admirava as 8 oitavas na voz do eterno Roy Orbinson.
Era um verdadeiro Tenor do Rock.
Obrigado.
Eugene the human bobblehead
Only show on TV that was cool enough to have Roy. Yeah.
Mel's Rock Pile. Not too bad.
If God can sing, he sounds like Roy Orbison.
It took me 20 years to realize Roy Orbison wasn't blind.
Yeah buddy, that's his real hair . .
The tambourine man was giving 110%.
He was, IMO, the best musical guest they had. Other than Mr. Mambo, of course.
Cool…I wasn’t expecting to see the real Roy. I thought Dave Thomas or someone…nice surprise!
Roy Orbison had an amazing voice, and who couldn't love SCTV. Never see talent like this ever again, music and comedy
pure sound of unedited music. dont get that these days anymore..
Was für ein toller Sänger ich vermisse deine Songs mitt dir ,lieber Roy Orbison,,Dankeschön für die Erinnerung ❤
Great song great singer
Loved Roy Orbison and still do. The musical guests on Second City always were in a skit which I loved. I remember Dave Thomas's brother Ian Thomas was on with his band and they goofed around a lot.
Never a bad sketch. Always head on comedy. Very creative.
Love Roy Orbison /
Mercy!
Man! What a KILLER bass player! Who is he?
He was only 45 during this guest-spot. It's a crying shame what smoking did to such a phenomenal talent, contributing to his death 7 years later.
Sure miss this guy. Heck of a jam session going on in the great beyond.
Funniest shoe ever. Sctv
This was Mel's Rock Pile a regular skit on SCTV for those curious.
4 people don't like women.
❤❤❤
What year was that black and white footage from? By the look of Roy Orbison, it could have been 1969. Any ideas?
What a gem SCTV was
Just so damn good…
Sammy said James dean was gay So when Jimmy Dean said do you want to eat my sausage I thought that was funny
