Bob McKenzie is brought to life by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is brought to life by the comedian Dave Thomas. Which was developed originally as a skit to both follow guidelines and makes jokes about stupid Canadian content statutes, the pair grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The two later became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
