In the video Ryan Reynolds is back with a brand-new Mint Mobile ad, and he’s bringing ’80s actor Rick Moranis, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of fictional Canadian siblings who hosted “Great White North”, a program which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s most watched season when it braodcast by the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the 1980s. Bob’s part is created by Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by comic Dave Thomas. Although made originally as a sketch to both satisfy and laugh about legal Canadian content laws, the characters became a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and the United States. The McKenzie brothers enetually would become the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
