In the video SCGDAL: Deck Tech – Dredge with Dave Thomas | Legacy, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of strange Canadian actors who can been seen in “Great White North”, a program which was streamed on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it was featured on CBC Television in the 80’s. Bob is played by comic Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Which was developed originally as a joke to both fulfill and laugh about legal Canadian content policies, the characters grew up to be a pop culture hit in both Canada and America. The brothers went on to become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
