In the video Schmenge Brothers Christmas in Leutonia SCTV John Candy & Eugene Levy 1982, Bob and Doug McKenzie are two of odd Canadian actors who are responsible for “Great White North”, a skit which was featured on SCTV – second city television for the show’s third season when it moved to CBC Television in 1980. Bob’s partThe character Bob is played by actor Rick Moranis and Doug is performed by actor Dave Thomas. Despite created originally as a skit to both fulfill and makes jokes about annoying Canadian content statutes, the siblings transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie siblings soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
