In the video SCTV 1 – 09 Philosophy Street, Fistful of Ugly, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of odd Canadian siblings who are responsible for “Great White North”, a skit which was included on second city television for the show’s most popular season when it moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in 1980. Bob’s partThe character Bob is played by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is created by the comedian Dave Thomas. Even thoughFamously developed originally as filler to both fulfill and laugh about dumb Canadian content legislation, the characters turned into a pop culture hit in both Canada and across the border. The brothers later became the focus of a huge comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
