Bob’s character is performed by actor Rick Moranis and Doug McKenzie’s part is performed by Dave Thomas. Which was made originally as fluff to both please and makes jokes about annoying Canadian content policies, the two became a pop culture sensation in both Canada and across the border. The McKenzie brothers enetually would become the focus of a bestselling comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
