Bob and Doug McKenzie in SCTV, 11_5_82 – _am.3gp

In the video SCTV, 11_5_82 – _am.3gp, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a couple of hysterical Canadian family members who created “Great White North”, a program which was included on second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was featured on CBC Television in the eighties. The character Bob McKenzie is brought to life by hilarious comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is acted by Dave Thomas. Although developed originally as an idea to both fulfill and mock network Canadian content legislation, the siblings turned into a pop culture smash hit in both Canada and across the border. The characters soon became the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
