In the video sctv awards 2020 NCT 127 ‘ 영웅 (英雄; Kick It) ‘, Bob and Doug McKenzie are a pair of made up Canadian actors who created “Great White North”, a sketch which was introduced on SCTV – second city television for the show’s 3rd season when it was aired on the Canadian Broadcasting Channel in the eighties. Bob’s part is created by comedian Rick Moranis and Doug’s character is brought to life by comic Dave Thomas. The bit was made originally as a sketch to both please and make fun of stupid Canadian content guidelines, the pair transformed into a pop culture hit in both Canada and the States. The McKenzie siblings enetually would become the focus of a famous comedy album, The Great White North, in 1981.
