Second City Television (SCTV) also know as SCTV Network and SCTV Channel, is a classic Canadian sketch comedy show that ran from 1976-1984. It was an offshoot of Toronto’s Second City comedy troupe.

This hidden gem launched many careers, and was considered by many to be more sophisticated than its American counterpart Saturday Night Live. It aired on NBC for a short while, however the network forced changes to the jokes, and in the end it was not to most Americans taste.
